1. Overview
The ELM Cap System controls the amount of ELM that can be mined daily within the GRID and GOCPartner ecosystem.
Its objectives are to:
- Control the emission speed of ELM
- Maintain a stable mining supply for the community
- Adjust dynamically based on real user activity
The total supply is designed at approximately 1,008,000,000 ELM, expected to be distributed gradually over 3-5 years.

2. Daily Cap
Each day the system defines a Daily Cap, which represents the maximum amount of ELM that the entire community can mine during that day.
| Parameter | Value |
| Minimum Cap | 10,080 ELM/day |
| Maximum Cap | 1,008,000 ELM/day |
| Estimated Average Cap | ~550,000 ELM/day |
The Daily Cap applies to the entire system, not to individual players.
3. Daily Reset
The system resets every day at 00:00 (GMT+7).
At reset, the system will:
- Finalize the total ELM mined for the day
- Calculate the next day’s cap
- Start a new mining cycle
In some technical cases, the reset may occur a few minutes later (for example 00:05 GMT+7).
4. Cap Adjustment Mechanism
The next day’s cap is adjusted based on the community mining activity.
Case 1 – Cap reached
If the total mined ELM reaches or exceeds the Daily Cap:
>> The next day’s cap will double (×2)
>> But cannot exceed 1,008,000 ELM
Case 2 – Cap not reached
If the total mined ELM does not reach the Daily Cap:
>> The next day’s cap will be reduced by half (÷2)
>> But cannot drop below 10,080 ELM
5. Unmined ELM
If the daily cap is not fully mined, the remaining ELM will be transferred to the GRID Fund.
Example:
Daily Cap: 10,080 ELM
ELM mined: 4,000 ELM
>> 6,080 ELM will be transferred to the GRID Fund
The GRID Fund supports:
- Community events
- Ecosystem rewards
- GRID ecosystem development
6. Daily Distribution
The system distributes the daily mining allowance evenly throughout the 24-hour period.
This prevents situations where:
- All ELM are mined immediately after reset
- Or ELM only appear near the end of the day
This ensures fair access for players across different time zones.
The system publicly displays daily mining statistics, including:
7. Transparency
- Total ELM available today (Daily Cap)
- Total ELM mined today
- Remaining ELM for the day
- Projected cap for the next day
Example display:
Total ELM today: 10,080 ELM
ELM mined: 4,000 ELM
Remaining ELM: 6,080 ELM
Projected cap tomorrow: 20,160 ELM
If remaining ELM is not mined before the daily reset, it will automatically move to the GRID Fund.
